Last updated: 1 January 2026 · By using MeritPeer services you agree to these Terms in full.
1. Service Description
MeritPeer.com provides pre-submission peer review, manuscript editing, plagiarism detection, AI content detection, statistical review, formatting, and related academic manuscript support services. All services are advisory in nature.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to use our services. By submitting a manuscript, you confirm you are the author or have been authorized by all co-authors to submit the work for review.
3. Academic Integrity
MeritPeer services are advisory only. We do not:
- • Ghost-write, co-author, or fabricate any content
- • Create or modify research data
- • Write manuscripts on your behalf
- • Engage in any activity that would constitute academic misconduct
Using MeritPeer's advisory feedback to improve your manuscript is entirely consistent with academic publishing ethics, as confirmed by COPE guidelines.
4. Confidentiality
We maintain strict confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts. All reviewers sign mandatory NDAs before accessing your work. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
5. Payment & Pricing
All prices are listed in USD. Payment is required before review begins. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal. Institutional clients may request invoiced bank transfer. Prices are subject to change with 7 days notice — existing orders are honoured at the agreed price.
6. Refund Policy
Please see our Refund & Revision Policy for full details. In summary: if we cannot complete your review within the agreed turnaround, you are entitled to a full refund or free expedited re-delivery. Completed reviews are non-refundable unless quality standards are demonstrably unmet.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of your manuscript at all times. MeritPeer retains no rights over your research. Review reports are provided for your private use. You may not reproduce or distribute review reports without written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
MeritPeer's liability is limited to the value of the service purchased. We are not liable for journal rejection, academic outcomes, or consequential damages. Our services are advisory — final submission decisions remain entirely with you.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
